Labradoodles Are Real?

It's a Facebook emergency!!! None of my friends have a birthday today. What to do? I don't get to wish anyone a happy birthday and be one of the other 97 friends that writes on their wall. I guess I will just have to wait for the next birthday, and when it comes, I am going to explode Happy Birthday Mess All over their wall.



Well real reason for writing this morning is, it is frackin' cold out. Normally I can handle the chill weather, but this is too cold for me. I had to break out the Lesbian Sweater because of how cold it is. I guess it doesn't really help that I turned my heat off. It is just too damn expensive to run my heater all night long. So I decided I would just bundle up in blankets and leave my oven open after I bake something. When I woke up this morning, I looked at my thermostat and it was 55 degrees in my apartment ha.

There are so many things I should have talked about but I just haven't. Most important thing first, a few weeks ago I finished all my observations for the Audiology Clinic and NOW I get to actually do stuff. I have been given my own clinic slot on Monday and Wednesday :) That is one HUUUUUGE step towards my future career. Nothing could be more important to me right now, nothing.  Secondly, I have become wonderful friends with an unexpected person. Someone that I never thought I would actually become friends with. It has been so great. Yes, we have only hung out once, but it was so amazing. Simply the most delightful experience I have had in a long time. Will It Say That You Will Be By My Side?

There are very few things that could had made today an even better day. I started today with a very early start. Did my usual Tuesday lawn mowing and I started to mow the man, Sean, that asked me to mow his lawn for $100.00. I have NEVER seen grass so tall. It was like walking into a back yard of grass as tall as a 3rd grader. Yes, grass 4 feet tall! It was slightly ridiculous. Instead of mowing a lawn in an hour and getting fast cash, it has taken me a total of 4 hours complete. I have learned the first rule in lawn mowing, ALWAYS look at a lawn before give OR accepting an offer. If I were to have come looked at the lawn before I would have asked for at least $150.00 including supplies, gas and bags. It took a total of 9 extra large lawn bags. And in each extra large lawn bag, I could dump the mower bag 5 time...ya that means I had to stop 45 times to empty the bag. All in all, it was worth the money. Now what to do with the money? What a Bunch of Wieners *In Reference To The Senate*

I can sleep easy again. The spell of unemployment depression is over and the bank account is starting to see the green (for now). Over the past 6 months, I have been working at a private practice in Garden City called the House of Hearing Audiology Clinic. It is a very delightful clinic, to say the least. I have had many mixed emotions about taking this position; excited, nervous, relieved, disappointed, empowered. Just every emotion under the sun, and moon, and stars, and all other planets, nebulas, black holes, dark matter, and all other crazy ass stuff floating around out there. If you've known me since starting my doctorate, you might know that I want to work in a hospital seeing both adults and pediatrics with a focus on diagnostics. Unfortunately, a private practice is extremely different. The private practice environment is very dialed in on hearing aid sales.
